  1. Is qat just cut off the bush and chewed on or is there a specific farming/processing procedure that makes it edible?

  2. Its just cut off and chewed. It can also be dried up and chewed but it won't have the same kick as the fresh leaves.

  3. I was going to ask if it was a replacement for cigarettes or if it was just another thing to be addicted to. So they use both?

  4. They use both at the same time! I don't know about Morocco but in Jordan I used to see guys smoking hookah and a cigarette at the same time. I asked the Jordanian who was doing this and he said there was nothing else better to do.
